When Our Lives Take a Different Direction
Having spent the past few weeks making some changes, I realised it had been a year since I last wrote here.
A Different Kind of Pause
A year in which I’ve learnt that it really is okay to do things differently.
To pause.
To change direction.
That pausing doesn’t necessarily mean stopping. Sometimes the journey simply takes you somewhere you didn't expect.
Over the last year I’ve continued working with clients, experienced new things, faced things from my past that once hurt me and learnt more about accepting what has been and moving forward.
I also took on a completely different experience... working in a pub. A role that has played a bigger part in my story than I realised was even possible, with perhaps the biggest surprise being the people I met.
The People We Meet Along the Way
These people probably have no idea how much they have contributed to my journey.
Through conversations, laughter, challenges, kindness and simply seeing different sides of life, they became part of my learning.
It reminded me that we don't always know why someone enters our lives, how long they will be there, or what they might teach us.
Sometimes people fill spaces we didn't know were empty.
Sometimes they show us something about ourselves.
Sometimes we only understand their impact later.
All of this also changed the way I understood something that has been with me for much longer.
Learning to Understand What Was Already There
This wasn't something I created this year. The ideas were already there.
What this year gave me was the opportunity to live them and to experience them rather than simply think about them. Slowly, what had once felt like a collection of ideas began to make sense.
It led me to relaunch my original business, TeachTalkLearn, and create the TTL Origins brand to share the books and cards created from what I have learnt about The Origins Cycle®.
I will still be coaching 1-1 through Vicky Anne Coaching. This just sits alongside providing a different way to share the journey I have been on so far.
A Different Direction Without Knowing the Destination
So maybe I haven't really been away for a year.
I've just been taking a different route.
I still don't know exactly where that route ends, or even what the step after this one will be.
But I know the direction.
For now, that's enough.
